Mamá Caníbal began when the ambition behind the work started to need a life of its own.
The ideas, the way of working, the things worth fighting for, the things worth saying no to — they needed somewhere else to live.
So Mamá Caníbal was born.
Not as an alter ego.
Not as a mask.
Not as a way of pretending to be bigger than we are.
As something of its own.
A creative entity with its own appetite, its own principles and its own way of raising ideas.
Laura is the person behind her.
Mamá Caníbal is what happens when all of that becomes bigger than one person.
Today, she works through Laura.
Tomorrow, she may be much bigger than her.
And that is exactly the point.
She was never meant to be limited by one person.
She was never meant to be owned by anyone.
THE HUMAN BEHIND HER
Laura is a Creative Director and Art Director with years of experience building, evolving and transforming brands across identity, digital, communication, product, campaigns and experiences.
She has worked from inside brands, alongside agencies and with independent collaborators, moving between strategy, creative direction and execution depending on what the project actually needed.
Mamá Caníbal grew out of that way of working.
Not from a desire to create another agency.
From the need to create a place where ideas could be questioned properly, where the brief could be challenged, where the work could go deeper than the surface — and where the ambition of a project wouldn’t be limited by a predefined list of services.
Laura is the person behind her.
But Mamá Caníbal is not a disguise for Laura.
It is the space she created for everything she believes good work should be.
